This is quite a challenge Gary... and I have a confession to make... I peeked on some of the peopel's work before i started making my conversions hahahaha... well, everybody looks like they were having a grand time with this challenge, and after I did mine I knew why...
Well, here's what i tried to do and as usual, i used picnik. First i tweaked with the exposure increasing the contrast, then, I applied the Hi Deffinition Resolution (HDR-ish), then also tried Orton- ish effect before converting it to sepia... i touched up some of the brick colors and increased again the contrast before aplying the sepia conversion again. And here is what happened:
Savannah Circa 1800
Well, it looked okay but i think the gate part on the foreground was really too dark and i rather liked how it looked like. And so I tried tweaking again Gary's original picture. I lightened the Exposure and Increased the Contrast then in the color tab I increased the temperature and the saturation then converted it to a rather orangy sepia and applied the Picnik 1960's effect
19th Century Savannah
I liked it better... but i also want to try this Arcsoft Program which came with my Canon Camera where I saw an Old Picture Effect there so I loaded the 19th Century Savannah to Arcsoft and tried the olkd Photo Effect choosing spots and the edge effect. And here's the result:
Savannah 1800
