Monochromatic Monday #12
Davao PEACE and UNITY 2
I want to present another angle of my Mono Monday entry last week…
As I said last week this is located infront of the Davao City Council Building and fronting the Davao Catholic Cathedral. The picture above is taken facing the City Council building… this week, it a shot of it from the backside or fronting the Catholic Cathedral….
Davao Tri-people Offering Unity & Peace
Now, what did I do…:
- · Using Picnik (again!) I adjusted the Exposure… using the advance button to click in the local contrast so the details of the statue will come out because it is rather dark… then I adjusted the brightness and contrast…
- · Next… I turned it into sepia then added the Lomo-ish effect…
· This is what happened:
- · But I wanted it to glow.. .since it is a GIFT from all the people… not only of the Christians, it should look like for a Superior being or for the Almighty… so I added the Cross Process Effect…
· Here is the final product:
A Celebration and Gift of the Davao Tri-people to the
Lord God(Christians), Allah(Muslims), Bathala(Lumads)
NOTE:
If you notice the Davao Catholic Cathedral is unique in form... it is somehow shaped like a boat, because davao is a coastal City as well as the People especially the muslims and lumads derive their livelihood mostly from the sea (needlss to say, seafoods are cheap and plenty here LOL)... back to the cathedral's shape... it's shape and design also resembles the Muslim Mosque... needlessless to say, Davao pioneers the Inter-religious Dialogue in the Country and Initiated and Houses the Bishops-Ulama Conference (with Bishops meaning the Catholic and other christian heads of churches and Ulama meaning the Heads of all Muslim Imams and Ustadz) the conference is not only a once every two years formal gathering of the obove mentioned but also a venue for them to just rest and commune with each other on the beach or other resorts....!!! LOL... an insider told me they also put down all their pretensions and play like kids... LOL
(by the way.. this insider... is my own bishop! lmao... i'm not saying wehat church I belong to though,,,, LOL)
