Monochromatic Monday #9
Nostalgia
Yesterday, during the break period of an ultra tension filled board meeting… I needed to take a breather and so I went out and sat infront of the beautiful sea outside the conference room of the Davao Insular Waterfront Hotel…
It didn’t take away all the anxiety, but at least it gave me a little calm time for myself before going back to that cardiac trauma initiating meeting… good thing I had my bag with me and my dear camera to take a photo of the calm… something to keep me stable before the storm …. LOL
Anyways, here it is, my solitary beach lamp:

So last night, as I looked at it in my computer I decide to play around with it.. and probably because of how I feel during and after the meeting, I fancy editing it for this week’s Mono Monday:
§ Loaded it to Picnik, as usual… played with the contrasts and exposure because the lamp didn’t look so attractive there
§ Then I tried sepia… didn’t quite like it… tweak it again in boost and then tried HDR… I liked the outcome of it in HDR Sepia… which is below… but

§ It’s not really expressing what I felt last night… I cant sleep so I tried tweaking it again, this time using the BW… then boost it after that I tried the Cross Process… and then I felt very very good….
§ What turned out was an image truly saying how I feel that time… I wanted to see the light beyond the dark melancholic surrounding… calmness, solitude...
