Monochromatic Monday #7
Moon Jelly Details
I played with an old picture I found when I tinkered with old CD files this week. I took this picture in November 2006 in the Aquarium of the Bay in Fishermen’s Wharf, San Francisco, California. I found this particular aquarium interesting but the picture didn’t turn out quite well, so I tried converting it mono this week.
Here’s the original picture taken with Canon Powershot:
What I did:
· Nothing much really, I just wanted the picture to look detailed maybe to show also that the very common moon jelly fish have every interesting details.
· Using Picnik.com, I tinkered with its exposure and contrast to hide a little the unnecessary specs in the background.
· Then I converted it to mono using picnik’s Holga-ish
· So here’s the final outcome that can be labeled for details of the jellyfishes’ stomach gonads, threadlike tentacles to catch food, oral arm and ring canal…
"Moon Jellyfish Details"
· Incidentally this type of jelly fish is common in California and in the Pacific Asian countries like the Philippines and is used as a food delicacy in our country… eeeooow…. LOL
