that's in our backyard.. it's called "rambutan" (an indonesian[?] word meaning hairy ) ... yup a clear indication that August is coming...
Davao celebrates the KADAYAWAN Festival come mid August... it's the festival of thanksgiving for good harvest... so during august davao abounds with flowers and fruits.....!!!
it's usually a whole months celebration but a week is set aside for all the indigenous tribes merry making, floral and fruit parade, motocross, off road racing, and other exhibits and forum... and lots and lots of fruits around the city!!!
so if you plan on visiting Davao do so in August... ok i'll have my snack now.... *wink*
